JIGSAW APPEAL follow up …..

Thanks to the generosity of Brian and Glynis Currie, Incare’s Managing Director and wife were guests at the James Martin Saturday Kitchen on Saturday.  Saturday Kitchen is based at the Cactus Studios in Kennington.   James Martin’s guests were the ‘Legend’ Pierre Koffmann (Koffmann’s Knightsbridge) and Bryn Williams (Odette’s Primrose Hill).  We were treated to exquisite gastronomical delights including an amazing pistachio soufflé and a mouthwatering Chateaubriand.

Jennifer Ellison was the celebrity guest who was on a Manchester return dash back to her role in ‘Legally Blonde’.

The hospitality was ‘bar none’ and we left with that driving desire ‘I must try that dish when I get home!.

A superb morning made even more fun by Lou and Claire and the warmth and welcome of Amanda and her ‘Cactus’ team …..  and of course not forgetting the host James himself!  Sorry girls he’s taken for and I can definitely say he’s just as gorgeous in the flesh!!

BESPOKE CASEMAKING

Incare has always been proud of its Casemaking  – cases of all shapes and sizes protecting shipments heading in all directions, all over the world.   Most recently,  four 5.8 metre foot long shipping cases were designed and made to carry oil drilling equipment to Saudi Arabia.

Ply shipping cases (for personal effects) are always in demand to meet Australian and New Zealand import requirements. Cases to accommodate classic car parts – often heading for Japan and New Zealand – are regularly designed to specific measurements.  Cases have just been completed to contain car parts and accessories on route to Maputo, Mozambique.

Incare offers a complete service to our customer by organising the shipping too, whether by air, road or sea freight.

EXPORT NEWS : August 2012

Recent figures showed that the USA received the most British Export Goods, followed by Germany and then France. Whereas the UK Imports more from Germany, USA followed by China.

Quality UK cars are still at the top end of our  exports.  Bentley is exploring ways to tap into a growing demand for secure vehicles to Latin America, Russia and the Middle East.

Jaquar Landrover is enjoying success in China where it has become a status symbol for the Chinese professional.  There is of course continuing competition from the European car maker – Audi, Maserati and Porche all have glittering showrooms in the Golden Port Motor Park in the suburbs of Beijing.  Apparently the new Range Rover Evoque appeals to the younger consumer while the Jaquar XJ remains the choice for the older business man!

EXPORT OUT OF RECESSION

The UK is renowned for – and excels in – producing luxury
goods.  So it was excellent news that Jaquar is having to increase staff and work round the clock to meet current demands.   A large portion of its sales are exports and it seems that there is a particularly strong interest from China.

It is important that exports over the next few months increase so the UK can move out of recession.  Let’s hope this can be achieved.

JIGSAW APPEAL

Incare International supported the Jigsaw Appeal by attending a ‘Fine Dining’ experience at the Chewton Glen Hotel in New Milton.

The Jigsaw Appeal is the principal fundraising appeal at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals to raise funds to transform the Women’s Health Unit. The new unit will screen, diagnose and treat patients with breast and cervical cancer and provide teaching and training.

It was a superb evening, delicious food and excellent company.  Celebrity chef James Martin gave a cooking demonstration with other demonstrations given by David Boland, Senior Chef Lecturer at Bournemouth and Poole College and Chewton Glen chefs, Luke Matthews and Andrew Du Bourg.

Good Luck to the Jigsaw Appeal!

SHIPPING PERSONAL EFFECTS WORLDWIDE

It seems from our business, that quite a few are continuing to leave Ole Blighty for a better, warmer or retired life overseas, .   Still popular, Australia and New Zealand, but Cyprus seems to be a favourite too.

Incare is based very near Southampton Port and for the ‘very keen shopper’ we have been packing and sending purchases independently of the cruise line.  A service which has proved very popular – particularly for travellers who are combining cruising with other travelling. No need for all that packing/unpacking.

CELEBRATE LONDON 2012

What an amazing two weeks!  How proud we all were!  CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM GB from Team Incare.  All our overseas customers, agents, etc,  have all responded with very flattering comments about the organisaton and presentation of the Olympics.  Well done to all.

Now we look forward to the Paralympics on 29 August 2012 ……..
